The only highlight from a Royals game

The Cat

The biggest highlight from an abysmal Royals game last night came when a cat escaped from the Mariners' bullpen and ran down the third base line.

As it approached home plate Miguel Olivo attempted to punt the cat in an attempt to scare/kill the thing. The cat then, followed by half a dozen grounds crewmen, ran up the first base line and got cornered in right field (as shown above) before jumping the fence into the Royals bullpen.

The cat, without fail, was the only one on the field that anyone even felt like cheering for.

kicking cats, while understandably motivated at times, is not noble and shows that you are a lowly human being. poor kitty. mr. daisy is organizing a protest, i'm sure. unless he's one of those urban-only cats with no love for noland-road kitties.
