A couple of weeks ago we had introduced you to The Librarian as one of the new authors to this dump of a blog. Well, that invitation had an ulterior motive since I knew I would be asking The Librarian to git hitched.
For about a month I have been planning and scheming. With the help of my crazy(,) supportive family and friends I was able to surprise her on the front lawn of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
She had always told me how much she loves the Nelson. It is her Happy Place in KC. So, with the help of my Attorney who was working behind the camera, I popped the question catching her completely off guard.
After the Nelson we had family on tap for drinks and then off to an evening of dinner and music with friends.
With the level of excitement from the engagement, the pressure is on now to bring my A-Game when the wedding rolls around sometime in the coming year.

You know, I came to the blog today because I was thinking, "Ooh, I wonder if Mike put the engagement story up!" Congratulations to you both! I might be in KC around New Year's or early next summer, so I hope to get the chance to meet the gal.
