Secretary Sebelius visits MCC's Health Science Institute
It was a fun visit for MCC and the folks at the Health Science Institute. U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services (and former Kansas Governor) Kathleen Sebelius was in town today to talk about the digitizing of health records to help modernize the health industry.
The pannel that spoke with Sebelius included a former students from MCC, professionals in the Health IT world and physicians that all spoke about how upgrading their patient record systems helped them and helped their patients in the long run.
I did have to admit to my fellow PR folks today that I missed the days when I would throw myself into the scrum of other reporters to ask a visiting VIP a question or get into positon for the best photo.
When you are on the PR side, your subject tends to stand still a little longer and pose for more of your photos. Sort of...
