Valentine's Day dinner

I would say it was a great success. The future wife seemed quite pleased.

The scallop recipe is nothing new. I bath the raw scallops in orange juice pat them with a little pepper and then wrap them in bacon. Stick in the oven at 400 degree for about 15 minutes.

And asparagus is asparagus... garlic, onions... bake until tender.

The potato gratin and the steak recipe, though were two new ones that I found on Pinterest.

Yeah, I Pin... you wanna fight about it?

The steak recipe was incredibly simple, but since we are raised from a young age that steak goes only on the grill, it seems almost sacrilegious.

You sear the steak in a pan with butter... just enough to add a bit of a nice brown crispy shell in each side. Then put the steak in the oven at 400 degree for about 15-20 minutes. It comes out a perfect medium rare.

The potatoes I found online and can go in the crockpot (which is becoming my new favorite kitchen tool).

Slice the potatoes, add a cu of sour cream, can of cream of potato, package of shredded cheese and crockpot it on high for three hours.

Add gren onions and pepper.

The dinner itself was so good, I think I managed to convince The Librarian that we should name our first kid Chewbacca...
